What's it like to live in Aberfeldy?
Is it an area on the up?
What are the pros and cons of living here?

I've not lived here but only passed through in my travels. I remember the 'Birks of Aberfeldy' being very beautiful! The town was quite small with most shops around The Square, oh and someone did say JK Rowling has a house nearby so I'd say the area is on the up!

Aberfeldy is the nearest town to Kenmore where I live. The main supermarket is the Co-op, which is not very well run ,and the choices can be poor. There is a growing trend towards online shopping with Tesco and Asda. There are some good businesses such as Dow's, the optician and the chemist, which are all of a fairly good standard. Girvan's homeware shop is also reasonable. Breadlabane Academy is still one of the best state schools in Scotland, and the town is still a good one for children to grow up and enjoy the great outdoors. The downside is the lack of choice in shopping, but if you can cope with that, the area is a good one to live in.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
