Advertised as Freehold then changed to Leasehold.

I put in an offer on a Freehold property that was accepted then 3 weeks later I noticed on the internet that the property is `Leasehold` I emailed the agency and asking why it had changed and what Leasehold involves? The reply was "You have to speak to your solicitor"? I feel I have been had in someway, I have buyers of my house pushing through sale and no one, even my solicitors, is getting back to me even though I have pointed out what has happened. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Weird. Did you buy it through the agent that has changed it? If so they should explain it to you. Good luck. - Jeff

  • The above matter is sorted - I pulled out of the deal. I now have another problem regarding the description of a property deal I have almost sealed (if I had been born in 1912 for sure I would have been on board the Titanic) on the deeds the property is described as a one bedroomed house but on the Land Registry its down as a flat? Can anyone advise what`s involved in the Land Registry changing the description?
