Freehold or leasehold
I am trying to find out if the property I am interested in is Freehold or Leasehold. There are no details on the land registry site. If every other house on the road is freehold will mine also be? The vendors don't seem to know as they are selling a relative's home. They think it is Freehold but said the relative paid £5 per year to someone. This would lead me to believe it is Leasehold. How would I find out?

A house is always freehold a flat is normally leasehold! If you are buying a house it will definitely be freehold but also the land registry will tell you, maybe you are not looking at the correct part of the site!
