I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area. look at bakewellderbyshire.com

Bakewell is a great place to be, whether it's to live or work, the people are friendly, good local businesses/shops, bistro's, bar's and of course beautiful countryside. Reputable schools and within easy access to Sheffield, Chesterfield, Manchester and Nottingham.
