  • Its a lively shopping town with excellent facilities and good rail , road and airport connections,2 golf courses an eco center with bird sactuary and riverside walks .it has a football team and rugy team.The secondary schools boost top results status in A levels. It has a recently enlarged town hall and the county hall has an impressive setting. Its major employers are Michelin tyre plc Gallaghers Tobacco and Wrights Engineering and the public sector and is the home of the Irish Rangers at St Patricks Barrack. The housing stock is excellent and the prices are good value.There is a strong work ethic in the town and area in general. Apart from occasional isolated outbreaks of comunity strife it is general a law abiding town which is well policed. 30 minutes will take you to Belfast and the scenic Antrim coast and the 9 Glens of Antrim.
