    I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are . You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

    It is friendly, people are generally very helpful, it is a community town, these are valley people.

    Bargoed is currently undergoing some great redevelopment works in the town centre. New supermarket and cinema for 2013.
