What's it like to live in Barrow-In-Furness?
Is there much greenery in the area?
What are the local amenities like?

Living in Barrow is strongly dependent on where you live in Barrow, two estates standout as being the better places to live, Hawcoat and Holbeck being my first choices, the rest of Barrow seems to be occupied by people who are struggling a little more with the recent increase in living costs, their is a huge rise in house sales. basically put Barrow has a bad reputation which I can't say I agree with, its a nice place to live, I would just try and avoid the council estates, which is pretty much the same anywhere you go.

There are many green areas. There is a huge park that has a fairly big pond. There is an Abbey with some lovely walks. We are right on the coast, so have some fab beaches...notably Roan Head and the Coast Rd. The amenities are dependent on age, there are a handful of great restaurants, a smattering of good restaurants and too many fast food places. There are plenty of activities for toddlers and younger children. Teenagers have a variety of activities such as skate park and shopping in Tesco most evenings...there is the cinema!

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
