If you could live in any town in Somerset which one would it be?

Looking for a picturesque and bustling (market?) town to settle in. I have teenage children but I'm not retired or senile! I need to be able to work and socialise too. Any advice welcome.

  • Hi, If you want to be within striking distance of Bath, I would recommend that you look at Frome; it has a bustling high street with a good range of shops and restaurants and some reasonably-priced properties. If you feel like looking further afield, across the border in Wiltshire Devizes is a lovely market town with a real sense of community and a very busy market every Thursday.

  • If you do not need to be very close to Bath, then there are some lovely market towns in South Somerset. South Petherton, Martock, Crewkerne are just some examples, try Orchards Estates, they cover the whole area
