Is sandy a family area suitablefor 9-13 year olds

I have children who are 5,9 and 13 year olds and I would like to know whether there are families with similar ages in family.

  • Hi Mayster, You can find out all sorts of information on the demographics of your chosen area by having a look at the local info section of the Zoopla site. Allow me to talk you through how you can find this, first and foremost. Start by heading back to the homepage of Zoopla and searching for all properties for sale in the postcode area for Sandy, which is SG19. When you are presented with a list of these properties, just click on any of them, as all we need at this stage is the information that sits behind the listing. Above the main photograph you will see a tab called 'local info'. Click on this to bring up a new page. On this new page, you will see a list of homes. If you scroll down, you will see two different bar charts. The second of these is the one you are looking for to check the sort of demographics that are present in the area. If you click the 'family' tab, you will see the stats that show the number of families with children in the area is actually below the national average, as is the number of single parent households. That's not to say that it won't be a great place to bring up your kids, though, as both are reasonably near the national average still. Other information that you might want to check out can also be found further up the page, where you can see a list of the schools in the area, and statistics on how well the schools there fare compared to the national average in terms of exam pass rates. As you can see from this chart, the school pass rates are broadly average in the Sandy area. Hopefully this helps with your enquiry. Many thanks, Scott
