What's it like to live in Berkeley?
Is it an area on the up? What kind of people live around here?

I live right in the middle of the town. Been here 8 years now and I think it's a great place - small and rural enough to be relatively peaceful and unhectic, but big enough to be a convenient place to live (local shops, services, pubs, schools, commuting distance to Gloucester and Bristol etc). My only gripe is the lack of policing that goes on and although there's little in the way of real crime (violence, burglary etc), disturbances are the peace are fairly common place, but even having said that, I live dead opposite the busiest pub in town and have the chip shop on one side of me and the chinky on the other. I like to think I'm not the sort of person who buys a house on a main road and then starts campaigning for a bypass!
