What's it like to live in Birkenhead?
What kind of people live around here? How does it compare to the areas around?

I like it, I live near the YMCA and this is in the town centre, it's not very good for jobs, but handy for Liverpool and public transport. There are galleries and the Wirral peninsula has loads to offer, coastal walks, beaches etc. Shopping isn't bad theres a M&S but no big supermarket in walking distance from the town centre. I am no big fan of Wirral council they seem to be a law unto themselves and knock down buildings with architectural merit, but all in all, any other questions specifically, post them.
