Is Margate a good area to live in?

We are a mature couple considering a move to the Margate area, probably our final move, Any good, or particularly bad areas?? Thanks for any info.

  I would suggest visiting and speaking to locals. I remember it as a kid, but haven't been for years. I think it has had its problems, like almost everywhere, I'm sure it has its nice parts, maybe estate agents in various areas could advise on the nicest parts.

  I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.
