Can anyone answer honestly about the worst parts for flooding in Middleton/Elmer. Thx

We are interested in buying a property in Middleton/Elmer but a little perturbed by the recent spate of floodings. Where are the parts least affected - love the area but just scared of buying in the worst area for flooding. thank you

  • We have lived in Elmer sands for 30years and since the rock islands were constructed have seen no major flooding. The new bungalows behind the Elmer pub were flooded last year but I understand work has been done on the drains. The same applies to the area in front of the beresford pub with water running off the field, again work has been done to the drains and haven't seen any flooding this year. Hope this helps you. Elmer is a great place to live.

  • We looked at this area too in 2014 knowing the reputation for flooding and storm damage were put off when told they had flooding via drains, not much beach for sea level rising when you look at the map.
