Can I advertise/sell my own home on this site. If not where is the best place to advertise?
I have a house in Sneyde Park and I would like to try and sell it privately. Can I sell it on this site? Has anyone else tried to sell privately? Do you have any good suggestions or tricks to use? I would be really grateful for any advise.

You can use the tempt me section to demonstrate you would be interested in selling at a certain figure, but a GOOD agent are worth their fees, best price achieved, qualify buyers, chase up the sale, and really do work on your behalf. I know that some percieve we do little for our money but a dedicated professional agent would prove this wrong.

Selling privately will rarely work out successfully. The vast majority of property sales now take place as the result of the big property portals like Zoopla. And they won't allow private sellers to list their homes or else their core business would disintegrate. But there is a very happy compromise that can do the whole estate agency job but for just £349. That gets you listed on ten property websites and saves you a fortune. You'd be bonkers to either sell privately when this is such great value and can get you noticed. You'd be even crazier to pay a High Street agent 1.5% either ;-)
