What's Fishponds, Bristol like?

I'm interested in buying a property in Fishponds, Bristol and I'm just wondering what it's like to live there? What's the sense of community, for all ages in terms of leisure and facilities etc? Thanks if anyone has anything they'd like to say about the area.

  • Hello - Hopefully someone local to Fishponds will be able to to give you something more definitive - but, in the mean time, if you Google "Property Wizza 2.0", "Property Detective", "Street Check", "Find a Hood" and "UK Local Area" you should find some useful information.

  • Hi Parts of Fishponds are lovely and some are not. The southern end is closer to Easton and Greenbank, and often poo poo'd, the northern end closer to Kingswood. I own a property just off Lodge Causeway, there are some lovely roads/properties along there. I have a friend who lives there (not sure of the street name) and there are homeless hostels, so do your research. I would say it's 'on the up' generally, there are lots of new properties but most of the housing stock is older.
