    I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

    I lived there for nearly a year, and found the areas of Lowerhouse/Rosegrove or Padiham some of the better areas. Both have good access links and the town centre is easily accessable, plus Padiham is having a 24hr Tesco built at the moment.
