What's it like to live in Canvey Island?

What are the local amenities like? What kind of people live around here?

  Shops are basic, with quite a few empty. Pubs are basic, some rowdy, some quiet. New school built in town center. Population is mainly elderly, but there are young areas, as prices are lower than off the Island. Traffic can be a pain in rush hours, as there are only two roads off the Island. Local Council is pretty good, and made up of mainly independent's who live here.Crime is low, as we look out for each other.Weather is pretty good, and dry in the Summer. The Sea Wall spoils the view, but does it's job, keeping us safe. Work is scarce on the Island.
