HIP Suspension. Has it made a difference to agents yet?
Have agents seen a significant increase in instructions (not just valuations) since HIPs were suspended on 20th May?

We have seen an increase, with last week our busiest week for new instructions this year, however it is too early to tell if this is HIP related or just a coincidence.

It hasn't really made a great difference with regards to selling properties as a whole, but it certainly has brought some more properties to the market which may not of prior.

Surely an increase in instructions may not be bringing the greatest quality or commitment. Whilst the packs and indeed policy were extremely flawed in the auction environment theY did have a benefit. We found many of the commercial HIP companies were in fact far more efficient in getting legals together than many solicitors, thus giving buyers greater time to prepare to bid.
