Property price differences in UK regions.

In Harlow, a small 2 bed flat with no parking and not even a toilet inside the flat (its a locked toilet down the stairs on the ground floor) costs £160,000. In Sunderland, a three bed semi with a drive for parking costs £56,000. This is surely madness? When will the UK property prices from North to South converge?..and how will it happen?..will the South's prices get lower, or the North's prices get higher?

  • The North South divide will increase, not decrease. There are more highly paid jobs in some parts of the South, London mainly, but this is a fact. Move to London, wage far greater, cost of housing far greater. I don't beleive much of the North will see prices rise at present, there isn't the money and demand.
