With the advent of websites like Zoopla, has the relationship with estate agents changed for house buyers?

  • Probably, in the past you would need to scan the local paper for property ads and probably be on the mailing list for several agents in a particular area. Now it is much easier to look for property over a wide area and no need to contact an agent until they advertise a suitable property. Also with photos, plans, and streetview it is much easier to assess a property before arranging a viewing. For sellers, perhaps not so much, you are still reliant on an agent to weed out the timewasters.
