Flooding in the area.
I want to know whether this area has a history of flooding as we are looking to buy a property in the area.

Parts of Chichester have been subject to flooding but take at look at the councils website - http://www.chichester.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=7914

The flooding really wasn't that bad. It occured worst when the river lavant burst its banks sometime in the early 90's, Since then the river banks have had significant work done on them and it has not happened since. If you are in Chichester you should be ok, Selsey has suffered also but have not heard anything recently regads more flooding.
