  • You can find some cheap properties in brooklands jaywick that need some TLC at the very least .also the roads in brooklands are unadopted by the council and have no surface water drainage However there are some fantastic places in the village end of jaywick that have higher prices but the roads are adopted by the council with all amenities but are well below the average price. it is a very cheap place to live and the people are friendly .it is near the seafront with a good beach and clacton and colchester shopping centres .there is a choice of schools in jaywick they have many shops 2 post officies 2 chemist a doctors surgery 3 pubs and a bus route to and from town and to outer town retail parks and supermakets . There is a stigma attached to jaywick of flooding.but Jaywick was last flooded in 1953 along with all of the East Coast . so house prices have stayed low because unlike other areas that were refurbished after the flood jaywick has never received the attention or rebuilding it should have
