I have made 2 offers at Market Value on a property and the seller is refusing to negotiate! Is there anything I can do?

Market value £149495, my offer £148995, seller says £153000 fixed and no movement when the exact same house next door sold in November last year for £149995. Probably in better condition than the house I made an offer on as it would take £2000 to do the necessary work once bought.

  • There isn't much you can do, what one person is willing to sell their house for does not dictate what another sells for. No one can say what exactly market value is. Sold prices are a good indication, but people sell above and below general market values.

  • Has he sold it for £153k? I buy all the time (for rentals) and I find people come back to you later and accept your offer.
