  • Estate agents charge between 1% and 2% depending on price. Conveyancing is about £500 including government fees and VAT.

  • Conveyancing will can actually cost you a little less but you will also need to take into account any mortgage redemption costs (and removal costs).

  • Your conveyancing fees will be dependent on the sale price of your property. Most solicitors / conveyancers actually work their fees based on a fixed fee. It is best to gain some quotes, compare and shop around. Remember cheapest is not always best. Make sure you know what's included in your quote and that it's a fixed fee.
