What's it like to live in Billingham?

Is it an area on the up? Are the people friendly?

  It's definitely a good place to live if you're in the right area. I would avoid Low Grange and instead opt for Wolviston Court, High Grange, Old Billingham. Good schools, new kids play area in town, Forum is being re-furbished extensively for Dec 2010, schools very good. I feel I am safe in Billingham and kids too. Only big negative is town centre which is awful and needs to be knocked down and re-developed again. It's been sold so hopefully they will do this!
