  • Not a bad place to live. Good theatre and arts centre. Dolphin centre - leisure centre. Reasonable shopping, quite central. Excellent schools, a hospital and pubs, clubs etc. Colleges and a new site for Teeside Uni. Housing stock ranges from very reasonable terraces to very expensive detached. Main employers are the council and we have a few retail parks as well as Cummins, etc. Centrally placed for the A19 and the A1, although the state of the roads in the town are poor-badly maintained. Main problem is parking and congestion in the town. Forgot to mention some lovely parks.
