What's it like to live in Dawlish?
Are the people friendly? Is it an area on the up?

Difficult question really!! Its lovely to be on the coast and there are some really great events in the summer and walking alond the beach in mid november when all the tourists have gone home is wonderful. But there are some real down sides aswell. i wouldn't really say its on the up, shops dont seem to last 5 minutes and there are alot of empty premises at the moment, job oppertunities are few wnd far between within the town, so you would have to be prepared to travel for work, which a lot of dawlish people are not willing to do, so they just dont work, and instead sit around in pubs all day getting drunk or worse still on the lawn with their cans of cider, just what you want when you are trying to play with your kids! Dawlish could be lovely again if it had a little money injected into the right areas!
