How does it compare to the areas around? Is it a safe area?

  • I have lived in villages outside of Devizes(about 5 miles away) all my life (I'm 45) so Devizes has always been my local town. I would never never want to live anywhere else. My children tell me they would stay in the area when thy leave home. The nice thing about the area is familiarity. You always see someone out and about that you know. Devizes is a beautiful town with some lovely buildings and everything to meet you needs for daily living. It has nice areas such as the flight of canal locks. Lovely canal paths. The crammer( a historic large pond) . The town green. The beautiful Market place with it's Market cross and fountain. The shambles Market . Pedestrianised shopping area. Historic buildings. The corn exchange. The Marina . And of course the famous Wadworth brewery. To name but a few. I highly recommend lving in the area. It's a wonderful place to be and raise a family or to just grow old.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
