  • Poole is a lovely area to live. You are within easy reach of some of the best beaches in England and also the New Forest. There is so much to see and do for all ages.

  • It's a great place to live, good social scene with lots of fine pubs and restaurants, sandy beaches 15 minutes to the New Forest, low crime rates.

  • Pros - like being on a permanent holiday. There are so many places within easy reach and a great atmosphere. I love winter and having the beaches to myself, but I equally love it with the bustling tourists in summer and knowing that they are feeding money into the local economy. The students at Bournemouth also mean that we have a good range of restaurants and bars and the local economy seems pretty affluent. Cons - after 2 years I have yet to find any!

  • I moved to Poole 4 years ago from Bury, Manchester and have settled down here very quickly. There are plenty of nice beaches and towns to visit all around. The new forest is also very close.

  • Close to the beach, a great place for walks and some great pubs down by Poole harbour. Schools are great. The New Forest is about 15 minutes drive away and you can also get a bus over to the Jurassic Coast which is well worth a visit. I came to Poole from London 30yrs ago and would never go back.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
