What's the East Brighton Park area of Brighton like?

I am new to the area and am a single woman with three almost grown up boys of 17, 20 and 24 - two younger ones will move with me. Public transport and safety issues important, as well as neighbourliness.

  • East Brighton Park area is an area of Brighton which doesn't feel like Brighton itself, though the town centre is roughly a 5 minute drive away. The area is not known for being the safest but does offer a 'neighbourly atmosphere' Transport wise there are no train stations near-by, though there are regular bus services to Brighton Station, and a number of other buses to town and eastwards towards Newhaven and Eastbourne. Facility wise for children and for adults there is a sports centre, Brighton's marina village and countryside all minutes away by foot.

  • Did you make your decision to move to Brighton? Ive been here 25 years now, north, south, west and east Brighton. I don't know where exactly you have moved to, but Brighton is safe, it's cool and it's friendly. Obviously like major cities we have council estates, whitehawk, moulscombe, 2 areas that have a high unemployment and council homes, but hey, that's ok, I can live with that. Your kids old enough to go and enjoy the life in brighton. Hope this is of assistance to you, where you moving from?
