New properties vs Old, Is the UK's trend heading towards new developments?
Would you prefer an old or a new home? if so why? Many foreign investors want new buildings, is this influencing our wants?

I think it is simply a personal choice some people like modern hassle free living others prefer character that comes with older properties. Most young couples tend to buy modern for the ease factor and low maintenance costs. New developments get big press exposure so they do influence buyers to visit them and this may be a factor. Modern properties also tend to turnover more frequently so their is always more choice if you want modern where as older properties are often in short supply as owners tend tyo stay in the longer.

In my opinion older properties normally have larger gardens but newer ones are better laid out internally. Also depends on budget, if paying a lot you may prefer more space. We are a new build investor/developer. Because of land prices there is a precedent to gain as many houses per acre as possible so if a nice garden and not being overlooked is what you are after, i would go old.
