Looking at a property with a large detached garage
Can a garage be converted into a games room without planning permission? Or a part of it, maybe to put a Jacuzzi in?

Depends on the area and which council, some could see it as a change of use etc, best contact them first to tell them and if the say you need nothing then get it in writing and keep it safe.

It could be considered a change of use, so it may require planning permission. You should contact your local planning department if you are unsure. Many people use their garages for many other things other than parking their car. If you are using part of it temporarily to play snooker and darts for example, or use it as a gym, or temporary site an inflatable Jacuzzi, then it isn't a change of use. If you are altering the building, extending it and changing its use permanently, you might need planning permission. Hope that helps.
