What's it like to live in Egham?
What kind of people live around here? How does it compare to the areas around?

Egham is a quiet and pleasant area. It is safe to walk around at any time of the day or night. There is little entertainment in Egham. Few pubs and wine bars, a handful of restaurants and that's about it. No cinemas or theatres, no swimming pool, very little in fact. The choice of shops is very limited. There is a Tesco in the town, but the rest of the shops are used as charity shops, chemists, estate agents, banks and little else. Effectively, Egham is a student town, so the place is awash with them. Most pubs are full of them, and the local supermarkets seem to be geared towards their needs. Choosing the right part of Egham to live is very important. If you want peace and quiet through the sleeping hours, avoid Englefield Green and Egham town centre and its' environs, due to the noise and anti-social behaviour of the aforementioned students.
