  • I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

  • I live in Locks Heath about three miles outside Fareham but moving closer to Fareham central shortly to be able to cycle to work and hopefully reduce mortgage at same time. Fareham is very mixed and it's vital to get the right location in order to be as safe and crime free as possible, in my opinion. Have been quite disappointed at how tatty looking a lot of the local roads, etc. are in Fareham compared to Locks Heath, so may have been a bit spoilt. Have lived around this area since 1985 and overall it's a good place to live with a high proportion of lovely friendly people and relatively low crime compared to lots of areas visited.

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.
