Is it a safe area? What kind of people live around here?

  • Ferryhill is as safe as any area. I like it here. I moved to Ferryhill i year ago from Norfolk although originally from the South East . The area of Dean Bank had a bad reputation and the council were proposing a redevelopment scheme which is now cancelled due to lack of funds The area is ok and properties are ideal for first time buyers Have one for sale in Rennie Street but because the council have given people the impression that it is an undesirable area prices have dropped dramatically

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Ferryhill covers quite a large area and there are some very nice parts, for example Dean Park. However there are other parts of this place which, in my opinion, make Barterland seem pleasant! Dean Bank and Ferryhill Station are currently particularly vey rough areas. Do not trust any Agents up here!
