What's it like to live in Galashiels?
Is it an area on the up? What kind of people live around here?

Well that depends on what you call "on the up". If you mean does it have a large Tesco and Asda, and a proposed rail link and the council are taxing people to the hilt, then the answer is a definite yes. If you mean are there a lot of jobs and everyone is rich then that's an other difinite but this time its a no! Morally most people still have the traditional values - honesty, friendliness, helping each other, talking to each other on the street etc.
