We have put an offer in 11 Stocks Brow, Tintwistle, SK13 1LG. Is this a freehold or leasehold?

  • Hi Tracey, There are a few ways to find out this information. As a freehold owner it is your name that is lodged at the Land Registry as “freeholder”, with the title as “absolute”. Features Of A Freehold Property: - No ground rent to pay - Freehold properties do not have landlord rules to follow - No maintenance costs – responsibility to maintain the property is in your hands A leasehold ownership means that you have been given permission to live in a property on the basis of a lease from the freeholder to use the home for a certain number of years. Best bet I would say is to get in contact with the Estate Agent. Then after that you could try the Land Registry. Hope that helps. Jonathan Rolande :-)
