  • These private gardens between the streets of Learmonth Gardens & South Learmonth Gardens in Edinburgh are owned jointly by the householders in the properties: 1-19 Learmonth Gardens, EH4 [Nos 1-9: postcode is EH4 1HD; Nos 10-19: postcode: EH4 1HB], 1-23 South Learmonth Gardens, EH4 [Nos 1-8: postcode: EH4 1EY; Nos 9-23: EH4 1EZ]. The Gardens and cover an area of approx 2 acres. The main area is a grassed 'avenue' running East-West, bounded by mature trees and shrubberies on either side. The Gardens have over eighty mature trees, including some of the finest remaining Elms in Edinburgh. • Conservation areas are defined by the local authority - in this case Edinburgh. There should be maps of the conservation areas on the council's website - www.edinburgh.gov.uk, or alternatively a phone call or e-mail to the planning dept at the council should bring forth the definitive answer
