How do I find out who owns an unoccupied house?

There is a property that has been unoccupied for many years, The Heights, Scott Lane, Blackrod, Bolton, Lancashire. I'm interested in buying it to renovate, how do I find out who it belongs to?

  • You can do a land search and this will come back with the owners name. Or you can go down the council and look up the address to see if anyone is registered against it.

  • As long as the property is registered then you will be able to obtain a copy of the title deeds from your local Land Registry office. They cost £4
