What's it like to live in Bangor?
How does it compare to the areas around? What are the pros and cons of living here?

The best bit is its location. It’s only 11 miles from the beauty of Snowdonia and a short journey to the beaches of Anglesey & the Llyn Peninsula. It's a University City, small in stature but has a really open and friendly feel to it. The town's resident population is only around 15000 but the same amount of academics mesmerise the City during term times and beyond. Most of the major retail companies trade here with a lot of its heart being re-built over the last few years. It suffered like most towns following the downturn but there are a lot of major developments either started or imminent as I write. The University & the NHS are the big employers. The Uni' has started building the new Pontio Arts & Innovation Centre in the middle of the City which will should stimulate things. Visit the Cathedral and the beautiful Victorian Pier if you get the chance. Leisure is everywhere. Lovely walks, climbing, good standard of local Footie, Rugby etc. The National sailing centre is just down the road at Y Felinheli and numerous golf courses are just a short drive away. I hope this gives you a flavour of things.
