What's it like to live in Hexham?

What are the pros and cons of living here? Is there much greenery in the area?

  • Hi, We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area. You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page. We hope this helps.

  • Overall an excellent work life balance can be achieved as hexham is a market town with amenieties that punch well above its weight: an abbey with choir, an arts centre, wait rose, sport clubs with elite status rowing, tri athlon just a few. The coNsare u do get to know everyone or at least vaguely aquainted which can sat times be claustrophobic but is very embracing. We moved here 15 years ago and have our own business and are always astounded on how many people return to bring their kids up here an how enduring the friendships are amongst former pupils of the high school. The schools are all excellent, however they maintain the 3tier system which I under pressure from a unified county council.. The principal high school qehs has a tremendous reputation but u must be aware it has quitev high academic expectations of its pupils. However centres such as Newcastle college are 20 mins away by train
