What's it like to live in Hornsea?
Is it an area on the up? Are the people friendly?

Hi, I have lived in Hornsea for 10 years and believe me it's a nice place. We have 2 homes here one of which is for sale, 43 Market Place. Great schools, restaurants and a nice sea front promenade. The people are friendly, most people will smile and say hello. There is little or no vandalism. It's fairly quiet yet there are still things to do. Nice park, boating lake/bird sanctuary etc. Plenty of shopping at the Freeport designer outlet. Can't really say the areas on the up as it has never been down, hasn't changed much over the years. Perhaps a better mix of age ranges in recent years due to some new housing which has attracted families, so its no longer a place just for the retired so I guess you could say it is on the up in that respect. Property prices are now rising.

I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are . You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.
