For how long will you allow your children to enjoy their parents' home comforts?

It's getting harder for our children to get onto the property ladder. Parents are also stumping up deposits for their kids to rent property. At what age do you think your children should be cast out from the family home? And why?

  • Difficult one to answer. As a parent you want to support your children the best you can, but you also want to see them move on and develop. At the end of the day I would not cast them out at any age but would start to suggest and push them if they show no sign of budging beyond their 21st Birthday especially if they were male.

  • I dont think children should be cast out from the family home. Children develop and mature at different levels. I think that there comes a time when you yourself know and they do to that its time for them to move on in their lives. As long as your there to guide them through the process, to answer their questions and to find resolutions to any problems that arise they will move on with ease, as I have recently found out

  • I don't think ever nowadays as long as they are working and saving and contributing. They haven't a hope in hell of getting on the property ladder without that support.
