  • Hi suemac4 I guess it all depends what your requirements are when it comes to looking for the better areas of Huddersfield. Given its location and depending on your commute to work, a residential area close to the M62 will give you excellent links to Manchester and Hull and anywhere in-between, while the M1 is also just 15 miles away to the south of Wakefield. You might also want to be within walking distance of the train station, which will connect you easily to Leeds, Barnsley, Bradford and Sheffield. As a post-industrial town, Huddersfield has undergone massive redevelopment over the years, and you will be able to find anything from stone cottages to large villas, with the south, north-west and west proving popular. You might also want to take a closer look at places such as Fixby, Edgerton and Gledholt, again, depending on your requirements from your property and the area as a whole. Thanks Scott
