I need to find out how much it would cost to rebuild my home?
In order to apply for a new policy of building and contents insurance I need to find out how much it would cost to rebuild my home. How do I work this out?

I found the site below but it looks a bit complicated. I would work on approx 2/3rds the value of the property.

You need to know roughly what the square footage of your home is - measure the outside walls to find the area and multiply this by however many floors you have. This will give you a rough square footage; a reasonable rebuild cost would be between £80 a square foot and £100. This will give a rough guide for your your insurers.
