  • Hi gina2793, I assume that for these credit checks you are talking about when you are moving into a rented property? If so, poor credit checks from both partners might see you rejected by some letting agents, especially with demand being as strong as it currently is, allowing landlords to choose their tenants more carefully. You can get around this though by making sure you have a guarantor for your monthly charges. This person will have legal responsibility for making sure your rent is always paid, and this can often mean agents will be more likely to approve your application. Alternatively, you might opt to go through a private landlord, as these are less likely to carry out a credit check when you apply, meaning that a good set of previous rental references can stand you in good enough stead. Many thanks, Scott
