I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website for that area which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

Setting aside the generic answers, Humbie is a small village with a cluster of houses around its main street, a small Post Office/General Store, and a Primary School. Its postal area includes a number of scattered rural properties, including farms and equestrian properties, along with a small cluster around the site of the former Humbie Station (including the station-master's former house)
