Is it a safe area? What kind of people live around here?

The first thing one feels is freedom from the pressures of urban life. There is no crime, children can walk about freely and it is stated on the Isle of Islay that the children from Jura can be spotted a mile away by their good behaviour and manners. One feels realy safe, but it may not suit all, the hills and countryside are wild, but beautiful.

We would suggest that you check out the local Tourism website & check the crime rates for the area. Do some research on the internet – it’s worth calling a few of the agents too to get some advice. Spend some time in the area that you are interested in too – try to get a feel for the place. Good Luck!
