Planes, boats and trains. Mostly planes. Isleworth is divided into at least three parts. The Hounslow end, the Twickenham end, and, of course there's the Brentford end.
I liken the area to a bus ride. On the 237, towards Brentford/Hammersmith, it's dire. Chav spillage, currents of latent threat, and the stench from Mogden treatment plant. Towards Hounslow, not much better., altho compensated by the tube. However, pick up the 37, toward Richmond, and you'll be pleasantly surprised: old town with the river snaking and the lush opulence of Surrey beckons. London Road is stained with beer and kebab effluent, and in a poor state. The best place is on the 37 bus route, believe me, with access to Syon and Osterly parks. Isleworth is best placed for being en route to somewhere nicer.

Remarkably safe, and very friendly. A couple of nice Indian restuarants. Good Music pub. Fantastic travels links into London - you'll always get a seat on train into Waterlooo - though by Putney it's crammed. Good bus service into Richmond, and the Picadilly lie from Osterley or Hounslow East.
Syon Park and Osterley Park are lovely.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.
