I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are, this will also give you a guide to house prices and movement of the market within the area. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area.

We would suggest that you get in touch with local estate agents in order to get some background about the area.
You can search for agents using the ‘find agents’ tab on the top of the Zoopla Page.
We hope this helps.

Yes, is the quick answer! There are a number of parks in Kilmarnock allowing the public access to walks and, in some cases, children's play areas. There are two golf courses, both Municipal, although one may be going private. The town centre is not the most asthetic looking place but, then again, many places do not have beautiful town centres! The real "beauty" of Kilmarnock is it allows easy access to the coast, to the city of Glasgow or onto main access routes to further afield. The area is rich in history and, of course, Scotland's Bard - Robert Burns - was born and grew up in the area. The choice of housing is good and prices are much more affordable than nearby Glasgow.
